Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-04-25
PrintMySpot is the assumed business name of Jonathan Munson, registered in North Carolina, USA. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@printmyspot.com.
What we collect
- Email address. When you create an account or place an order. Used to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and replies to support requests.
- Shipping address. Collected by Stripe at checkout and forwarded to us so we can ship your product.
- Design data. The map coordinates, theme, framing style, and any text you add to your design. Saved with your account so you can reorder or edit later.
- No payment data. Card numbers and CVCs are entered directly into Stripe and never reach our servers. We receive only a token and a transaction ID.
Why we collect it
- To fulfill your order and ship the product.
- To send transactional email (order confirmation, shipping, support replies). We do not send marketing email.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse (for example, repeated failed checkout attempts).
Who we share it with
- Stripe — processes payment and collects shipping address. stripe.com/privacy
- Printful — produces and ships the physical product. Receives your shipping address and the print files for your design. printful.com/policies/privacy
- Transactional email provider via SMTP — delivers order, shipping, and support emails to you. Nothing else.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser local storage to make the site work:
- Auth session cookie — keeps you logged in after you sign in.
- Cart local storage — remembers what you put in your cart so it’s still there on your next visit.
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, session recording, or chat-widget cookies on PrintMySpot.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email contact@printmyspot.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time (typically within 30 days).
California residents (CCPA): The rights above — access, deletion, correction, and the right not to be sold — apply to you. We do not sell personal information.
UK / EU residents (GDPR-style requests): We ship to the UK, Germany, France, and other EU countries through our fulfillment partner. If you are in one of those jurisdictions, you can submit access, rectification, erasure, and portability requests using the same email above. Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (fulfilling your order) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
Children
PrintMySpot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Retention
We keep order records indefinitely for tax and accounting purposes. We keep design data tied to your user account for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and design data at any time, after which we’ll keep only the minimum order record required for tax compliance.
Security
We host PrintMySpot on private infrastructure with HTTPS-only access to the public site, encrypted database backups, and access controls on internal systems. No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect your account has been accessed, write to us right away.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the most recent version. If we make a material change, we’ll do our best to notify active customers.
