Refund & Return Policy

Every PrintMySpot product is custom-printed for you, so our refund rules are a little different from a normal retail store. Here’s how it works in plain language.
Change of mind: not eligible
Custom-print products are not eligible for a refund or return because of a change of mind, a typo you didn’t catch before checkout, the wrong location selected, or a personal preference about colors after the print arrives. This is the industry-standard rule for print-on-demand: once we send your design to production, the materials, ink, and machine time are spent.
Please review your preview carefully before placing the order.
What is eligible
We will refund or replace your order, at our discretion, in the following cases:
- Damaged in shipping. Your product arrived bent, torn, cracked, or otherwise damaged. Report within 30 days of delivery and include a photo of the damage.
- Manufacturing defect. The print is misaligned, faded, smudged, the wrong size, missing color, or has a clear production fault.
- Significant deviation from the approved preview. The product you received doesn’t match the preview you approved at checkout in a meaningful way (a different location, wrong text, missing frame, etc.). Slight color or crop variation from on-screen previews is normal and not by itself a defect.
How to request a refund or replacement
- Email contact@printmyspot.com within 30 days of delivery.
- Include your order number (it’s in your confirmation email and on the order tracking page).
- Attach a clear photo of the issue. For damage, include a photo of the packaging if it shows the damage too.
We’ll respond within a few business days. Where the issue is covered, we’ll either ship a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund to the original payment method. You don’t need to ship the defective item back unless we ask.
Shipping errors vs. design errors vs. customer errors
A quick guide so you know where you stand:
- Shipping error (we shipped to the wrong address or the carrier lost the package): we replace it at our expense.
- Design error from us (the production output doesn’t match what you approved): we replace or refund.
- Customer error (you typed the wrong city, picked the wrong size, mistyped the shipping address, or chose framing you don’t love after seeing it): not eligible. Please double-check the preview and shipping fields before checkout.
The branding discount
If you used the 15% “PrintMySpot.com” branding discount and the brand mark is correctly applied to your product, that is not a defect and is not refundable. The discount is the trade for allowing the small brand mark on the print.
Cancellations
If you contact us very soon after placing an order — before we have sent it to production — we may be able to cancel or modify it. Once production has started, we cannot. Email us as soon as you realize there’s an issue.
Lost shipments
If tracking shows your package as delivered but you cannot find it, please first check with neighbors and your local carrier. If it’s still missing after 7 days, write to us and we’ll work with our fulfillment partner on a claim or replacement.
